The Fathomless Future

Imagine for a moment that…

every drop of water passing through your home was treated not as a commodified utility, but as a sacred, shared inheritance—protected by law and managed by the very community it sustains.

We are currently navigating a global landscape of "fathomless exploitation," where our most precious liquid resource is being stripped of its sanctity.

Roughly 4 Billion people lack regular safe access to fresh water and sanitation, in some way shape or form, for one reason or another…

That’s half the planets human population…

It doesn’t add up, in my mind.

We’re doing a bit of research here at Oratales… (A fair bit of drinking too, and who can deny that a decent drop is good for the creative mind and soul?) … some of which is into global macro-mechanisms revealing a disconnect between the construction of our modern world and the sustainability of our resources.

My name is Chris.

I’m thinking of developing these chapters for future journals and film.

The topics will be broad in nature, but all related to Water.

Let me ask you this: If your local water source were suddenly declared a protected "living entity," what is the first thing you might do to defend it?

Would you defend it?
